Joining the Community

Before you join, here's what to know — and what you'll be agreeing to. It's short, and it's all in service of keeping this a safe place.

What you’re agreeing to

When you join, you’ll confirm that you understand and agree to each of these:

  • This is peer support, not clinical care — and not for emergencies. In a crisis, I'll call or text 988, or 911.
  • I understand the community is not monitored in real time.
  • I've read and agree to the Community Guidelines.
  • I'll keep what's shared here confidential.
  • I won't present advice as medical fact, and I won't identify other people.
  • I'm 18 or older.
  • I understand I can leave at any time.

You’ll find the full Community Guidelines and Safety & Crisis Resources linked here any time.

How you’ll appear to others

You choose a display name — it doesn’t have to be your real one. To other members, you’re known only by that name. Mamaya knows who you are behind it, solely so we can keep the community safe and reach you if we’re ever concerned for your wellbeing. We never show your real identity to other members.

Your information

We don’t sell your information, and we don’t share it outside Mamaya. Our free groups are open to anyone, so signing up is treated as joining a community — not starting clinical care. Our Privacy Policy has the details.

Changing your mind

You can leave the community, or unsubscribe from group emails, at any time — no questions asked.
