What TennCare members ask
- Which TennCare plans is Mamaya in network with?
- Three: BlueCare, UnitedHealthcare Community Plan, Wellpoint. We have openings on those panels right now.
- Do I need a referral from my doctor?
- No. You can book directly with us. We're glad to coordinate with your OB-GYN or primary care, but nothing waits on them.
- What will I pay?
- For covered TennCare members, nothing for a covered therapy visit. TennCare does not use copays for behavioural health the way commercial plans do.
- Does TennCare cover postpartum depression treatment?
- Yes. Perinatal mental health is treated like any other covered condition — there's no separate benefit and no special authorisation needed.
- Is telehealth covered by TennCare?
- Yes, and that is how most of our care is delivered. For women in parts of Tennessee with no perinatal specialist nearby, it is the difference between care and no care.
- What if the panels are full when I reach out?
- Ask to go on the waitlist — we work through it as space opens. You can also start on our sliding scale, which is based on household income and size, so care doesn't have to wait for a panel.
