Perimenopause therapy in Florida
Mood swings that don’t match the day. Anxiety that wasn’t there before. Irritability and rage that catch you off guard. Sleep that breaks at 3am. Brain fog, and words that won’t come. The feeling of not being yourself. Mamaya Health provides telehealth therapy across Florida with clinicians who work this life stage on purpose — and we’re in-network with Florida Blue.
A care navigator reaches out within an hour during business hours; first sessions are usually within five days.
What’s different about doing this in Florida
- Telehealth statewide. We have offices in Nashville and Murfreesboro, not Florida, so every Florida session is by secure video — from Miami, Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville to the small towns in between.
- Florida-licensed clinicians. Your therapist holds a Florida license. That’s a legal requirement for care where you live, and it’s the first thing we check when we match you.
- Florida Blue and the major carriers. In-network, so the claim goes from us to your plan and you pay your plan’s share.
- Medication, if you want it. Our psychiatric medication management is Tennessee-only today, so in Florida we coordinate with your own prescriber — your OB-GYN, menopause specialist, or primary care — rather than leaving the two halves unconnected.
The clinical detail — how we treat perimenopausal anxiety, rage, sleep and identity grief, and what the first sessions look like — is on the main perimenopause therapy page. Everything there applies here; only the state details change.
Common questions
- Do you have perimenopause therapists licensed in Florida?
- Yes. Our Florida-licensed therapists see clients across the state by secure video, and perimenopause is one of the life stages they specialize in. Florida is a telehealth-only state for us — we have no Florida office — so sessions happen wherever you are.
- Is perimenopause therapy covered by Florida Blue?
- We're in-network with Florida Blue, along with Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Optum, UMR, Magellan, TRICARE and VA Community Care. What you pay is set by your plan — usually a copay per session, or coinsurance until your deductible is met. If you'd rather not use insurance, self-pay and a sliding scale are available.
- Can therapy actually help perimenopause mood symptoms?
- It helps the parts that hormones alone don't reach: the anxiety spiral at 3am, the rage that scares you, the grief about who you were, and the sleep and stress patterns that make everything worse. We publish our results — the PHQ-9 and GAD-7 scores for women in our care are on our results page. For hormone therapy itself, we coordinate with your menopause specialist or OB-GYN; we don't prescribe it.
Also serving every other kind of therapy across Florida, and publishing what our care does.
